What is Bags Full of Love?
Bags Full of Love is a non-profit organization aimed at supporting people in the unsheltered homeless population by giving resources in bags to aid them by meeting their current needs, providing encouragement, and most importantly showing them love. We focus on giving full sized hygiene items so that the items will last longer than a couple uses.
Bags Full of Love was founded to show to and share love with people who are homeless. The items in the bag are selected to do that. The items are not just food and hygiene products, but handwritten notes of encouragement, devotionals, notebooks, and bibles. The items are selected to show God’s love and Bags Full of Love is trying to be His hands and feet.
What do we believe?
Bags Full of Love believes that every single person needs and is worthy of love. As a Christian organization, we believe that it is our responsibility to love others and help those in need. John 4:20 states “If a man says, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” God also calls us to “love our neighbor as we love ourselves.” People who are homeless share our streets and neighborhoods. How can we say we truly love someone if they are hungry and without necessities on the street.
